Calypso Spiced rum is sourced out of the US Virgin Islands and imported and bottled by the Sazerac company. It appears to be a value brand meant to encroach upon the dominance of Captain Morgan and the rest of the spiced rum market (their ad in the 2011 Tasting Panel Magazine suggests “more profit per hour”).
