The name “Dalwhinnie” comes from the Gaelic dail-chuinnidh translated as “plain of the meeting,” which is meant to recall cattle drivers pausing in their labor in meadows. They recommend drinking their scotch with chocolate desserts.
The Dalwhinnie 15yr single malt is part of Diageo’s classic malt collection, which has given rise to its name recognition.
